The link between gasoline and H2 is supply and demand. We can supply gasoline much cheaper and there's a demand for it therefore the H2 is going to be on the sidelines before it becomes economical to use .....pretty cut and dry stuff.

One H2 fuel never has been nor will it ever be economical.

Two even the US-DOE agrees, other wise why would they also be supporting and pushing a switch to formic acid made from CO2 as the solution to the H2 problems for fuel cells?

Also most H2 is made from fossil fuels and thus does nothing to solve the air pollution problems caused by using fossil fuels to make the overrated gas H2.
