Susie,

Schilling and Beckett will each have starts in Chicago against Ozzies team just before they play the ASG.

Glad to see Tek not make the team, he needs the rest and doesn't really deserve to go based on his offensive numbers this year.

There is talk that Manny may not go to rest his knee.

Personally i think they should just change the name to the Boston-New York baseball gala. There are a lot of deserving starters not in those two cities.

Chris Ray of Baltimore, 20 of 21 in save situations, surprised he's not in there, I'd rather see him than Tejada.

Mark Redman from Kansas City, guy has a 5.59 ERA! I know Kansas City has to have an all-star player, but there's got to be a better choice than that. What is baseball coming too, when a guy with a 5.59 ERA gets a pass to the all-star game? Looking at the stats, OF Emil Brown (.288 6 38), or reliever Jimmy Gobble (2-1, 3.67) would've been a better choices from a statistical perspective. 5.59 ERA, I can't get over that, that's got to be the highest ERA ever elected into an all-star game. Of course, there's at least a start left where Redman can get that ERA down a notch, nontheless, an ERA over 5 going into the all-star game is absurd. There were 2 better choices to get to the all-star game from Kansas City and I'd really like to understand the rationale of Redman being picked and who was in charge of that...?

Also, don't know where you got that from, David Wright's numbers are way off, they got him at .251 5 26, should be .325 18 66.

Looks like Dan Uggla might be rookie of the year in the NL...

That about covers my comments on this... trying to get back into baseball again...

...edit: One other thing, Francisco Liriano of the Twins is now 9-1 with a 1.99 ERA... and he's not there either... hmmm...

YANKEES will handle the left side of the plate, and the RS the right side - sure hope Ortiz doesn't mess up at 1B.
