ziploc, what would you say if HC sold his stock shortly after a Samsung agreement? Would you accuse him of insider trading because he knew an agreement/settlement was coming? When do you believe is an appropriate time for an insider to sell when new licenses are expected?

ziploc_1, don't intend to butt in, but, H.C. sold a pretty small number (16,000) and it is a 10b-5 planned sale on 6/29/06....i.e., not a discretionary sale.....so, it shouldn't have any link to any Samsung NEWS whatsoever. Another thing that I noticed with this sale is that the FORM 4 was filed during (or atleast showed up in SEC filings) the trading hours....so, IMO, the impact of the sale (if any......I highly doubt that there was/will be any) should be over. Releasing the filing during trading hours makes me go hmmmmmm....will there be anything coming out on Monday????....I am tempted to speculate....

Goodluck All!

Ziplock Harry's latest sale used a preplanned 10b5-1 trading plan, which was prearranged on March 31, 2006 according to the Form 4. Campagna's preplanned sale was associated with 16,000 stock options set to expire on 6/30/06. Berstein's sale of 6,666 shares was also from a preplanned 10b5-1 plan established on March 31, 2006. However his preplanned sale was not associated with expiring stock options. I'd much prefer insider sales using prearranged 10b5-1 trading plans, rather than just voluntary discretionary sales.

Zip, Yes I do still have a gut feeling Samsung will settle up. At first when this run started I felt news was coming or new coverage. As we neared the end of the quarter and the volume and spike continued with no news or coverage I looked for reasons why Samsung hasn't settled yet. Note I use the word settled and not licensed.

In the Nokia arbitration the evidentiary hearing was over about 01/27 and a short while after IDCC announced via 8-K the arbitration panel would hand down their decision on 05/31. As we know that was delayed and the results were given 07/01.

Now Samsung evidentiary hearing was over on or about 01/06. Here we are in the same time frame as the Nokia arbitration and IDCC has yet to announce a date the arbitration panel will provide results.

My guess is a preliminary agreement has been reached and will be finalized in the 3rd quarter rather than the second which will spread out the revenues rather than have a huge 2nd quarter in 2006 which would be hard to beat in 2007. Hopefully the silence on Samsung might be an indicator of a 3-G deal. If so the results should make us all happy.

Harry's planned sale is no reason for him to be replaced. If Samsung is signed the stock would go up even more so why would you want to replace someone or anyone who sold stock knowing they could have made more money by hanging on?

Now if insiders sell in front of bad news and the stock goes down that deserves revue.

Hope we have a good week.
