No, recalling some past due diligence, they are not required to announce a continuance recommendation from the DMC based upon an interim analysis, IMHO. However, it is unlikely a continuance recommendation would require submitting voluminous documents to regulators -- particularly after a first IA -- if one occurred before that now apparent continuing submission. Consequently, it's difficult to imagine the DMC recommended a continuance.
