I've filed as pro se as plaintiff in civil court before. I studied my butt off (regarding court procedures and local laws) and had all my evidence ready to present and prepped motions to make sure there were few delays. My case lasted 3 months (defendants filed for continuances). Would've lasted 2 weeks with a judgement in my favor if not for the defendant.
