I'm writing about some of the Mets fans and not the players.

Mets players are too professional to give up. I'm sure Willie Randolph wants to win against Boston regardless of the uniform he is wearing. He has been part of the rivalry for too many years.

However, more than one Mets fan as called WFAN talk radio to rejoice that the Red Sox sweep of the Mets prevented the Yankees from advancing in the satndings.
