good post, frrol. Though we might think we are all right, the people who criticize the design of the trial are not all wrong. Just plain common sense.

I agree with the doctor today who said that as long as there is no double-blind trial with a placebo, doubt will hang over the effectiveness of the drug. That's what the next phase is about: double-blind with placebo, as you say. There are no free rides.
