I think you're incorrectly using convertible debenture as a substitute for toxic convertible/death spiral financing. Although toxic financing can be a type of convertible debenture it is inherently a different animal.

It is like swapping Porsche for Pinto because both are automobiles.

Mantra is a Pinto.

And Toxic Convertible notes here will likely be the end of the company as a going concern.
