there was nothing "sociable" about your "munson" remarks earlier today. were they made on another board? yes, they were. but you have to realize that most here, are there as well. now don't shoot the messenger, i'm letting you know where the vitriol toward you is coming from.....
I caught the post before the edit. However that didn't bother me.
I'll give you some background on what excel was trying to say to you...
1. At one time I was probably viewed by a few here as just as obnoxious a Yankee fan as you are a Red Sox fan.
2. Then the Red Sox won the WS in 2004 and my then 5 year old son turned to me and said it's okay that's grandpa's team (my dad). My dad will turn 95 this year and you can see how long it's been since he saw the Sox win. It's amazing how a few simple words out of a 5 year old can change your whole perspective on life and winning.
3. I also coach LL and I very rarely EVER mention players from this current crop. I try and pick out HoFers from different teams at different positions that kids can go home and read about. In short my historical line up I present to the kids would not be composed of all Yankee players. I want the kids to not only learn the game but to become students of the game. Why? Because if they suck they can always be a sportswriter. lol.
