Made the switch to 10 here on HP laptop. Had issues both in 8.1 and 10 when it came to sleep mode and shut down. It was an Intel problem so had to uninstall the Management engine interface 11.XX and go back to 10.xx. It drove me crazy trying to figure out what exactly was the problem, but now it's solved. Intel 11.xx has a glitch that they will not address.
That said Win 10 seems to be fine, but will be on guard for updates and only choose the ones I want.

Stick to Chrome. Edge has Flash issues.

there's a learning curve, but finding more features I like. I recommend keeping your favorite browser(s) as always, but why not explore Edge as well?
