There is really no need to even waste the time to use a Niton on a blob of copper oxide staining - you know what you will get.

It would be the same as finding a small gold nugget in a stream, zapping it with a Niton, and then putting out a press release that a mine with potentially 24K gold was found. It is just so lame. Why do so many fall for it?
