Then after the announcement closes they have to sort through hundreds of applicants to get their short list of top candidates, then line up all the interviews, then make another short list. After you have your top five, an invite is sent for an office interview. Lastly, they verify the qualifications and call references before finally making a selection. Rest assured, it's a drawn out process these days for a high paying job. I do this myself so I know how it works first hand. I'd be a bit more patient on the hiring process. Good luck all.
