I found this part interesting as the representations here have been different.

The conditional qualification approval applies to the above mentioned parts. It is a conditional qualification approval until such time as the Qualifying Activity is able to inspect the factory at Guangzhou, China

So he got certified over 2 years ago and still hasn't sold squat? What's the story with that?

There are hoops and bounds to certifying anything for the military, however, it becomes easier to maintain certification cause it has been establish as to what is needed. This article clearly states that qualification must be submitted bi-yearly or be removed the from list. Why would anyone go to all that trouble to let it lapse and restart the long tedious process again? Tpac is still on the QPL as of 10/2015.

............Including a product on the QPL does not relieve the manufacturer of its contractual obligation to deliver items meeting all the specification requirements . To retain QPL status, your company must comply with the retention of qualification requirements stated in the applicable standard and submit on a bi-yearly basis a completed certification form DD1718. Failure to comply with these requirements could result in the withdrawal of your company.
