I guess what confuses me is that the passage of time by definition creates new data when one is looking at OS. Thus, the least likely answer to this is that there is no new data. Am I off base here?

They didn't pr that they were presenting and that is the stickler and why I doubt they presented. I don't consider this fluff at all, if they presented at a major conference and failed to announce, that is a big no-no.
