No, you're not missing a thing. I've experienced too many losses following a RS, and not to mention there is a reason why so many investors buy penny stocks - it's all about the volume. Nobody wants to see that evaporate due to a RS. Speaking for myself, I'll but 10k shares of a stock at $1.30 before I'll buy 1000 shares at $13.00. Yes, I understand they're the same value, but a $1.30 stock will run faster than a stock at $13.00. Look at AAPL if you want to see an example of what happens when and why a stock splits - it makes it more attractive to the retail investors.

Wolf, if you were a large pharmaceutical company and you were looking to do a partnership. Would you feel better doing a partnership with a Nasdaq- listed company or an OTC? My thoughts were dealing with the here and now, not in December. I think our share count is high and once things get moving stock options are going to be a part of the compensation plan for board members.

I don't follow the logic that a reverse split is good for early longs. If this pipeline is indeed worth what we believe it is, I'd much rather hold onto my 55k vice hand in for 5.5k, for instance. This isn't the only drug in the pipeline, so future PPS appreciation from 1.30 to 13.00 is a more reasonable than a move from 13.00 to 130.00 to achieve an equivalent % gain. Am I missing something?

With all due respect, because I think we are all long, and want the best return from AVXL. No one is saying it is a good thing, but we are saying it is certainly NOT a bad thing, if it were to happen.

Tell Warren Buffet to forward split Berkshire Hathaway. Tell GOOG. Tell Priceline. There is a reason they want the price of their stock so high (which is what a reverse split will do).

Think of it this way. Do you want something of prestige and value to be available at Dollar General or Nordstrom's? Where do you think big money (read Big Pharma) shops?

Don't be duped by the FUD. There is nothing wrong with a R/S if management decides that.
