replying late to this, but yeah, AAPL just had a massive upward spike on the iphone 6s announcement.
i've been too busy to check the sites to see what features made the launch,
but it looks like the market wasn't impressed,
given the immediate selloff back down to pre-spike price level.

if AAPL goes lower this afternoon,
it will probably take SPY with it,
as the rest of the major SPY components are all dropping today from their own gap-ups.
