Wow - thanks for the memory! My son worked as crew on Panache for that charter and that is how I first became interested in powered
surf boards. Visited the Powerski booth at a few boat shows and was always impressed with the quality. I think that Powerski/Montgomery were very much on the level. Agree?

I do not have the same opinion of Ken Owen who was connected to
Walt Tatum and felon Murray Goldenberg. The first XBoards were very rough in comparison to the Powerskis. Not sure about Art Robins who seemed sincere enough.

Jogging my memory but I think that it was the Miami Boat Show when I decided that this was more scam than anything. The XBoards were on display and looked ok but the motor compartments were closed. When I asked about the motors the answers became evasive and the rotary engine that was on display on the floor was way too big and heavy for a use on a board.

The last that I heard about him, Ken Owen narrowly avoided jail time for securities fraud. As for Powerski, I think they never did get EPA approval for their motor and it faded away.
