One again, I am not pointing at any one player in particular and in fact, Addison is not one of the so called swing and miss big boppers I am suggesting be traded! In fact, you may not need to trade any if the FA market provides the needed Contact hitter with speed at a position they could be fit into. Regardless, you need some of that mixed into the lineup if you hope for any shot at World Series Title.
As for Shark? Think the pressure of playing for his childhood team in a contract year may have gotten to him this year. In fact, given the rough year, we may even be able to bring him back at a decent cost. If not, the one major strength of our Farm System is young pitching!
SS? Think we need to either bring Alexi back for one more year. Tim Anderson should turn into a very good MLB SS, but is probably at least another year away from being ready, or maybe two. Needs a little more work on D. That being said, Tyler Saladino moving over to SS next year is not a horrible option, especially defensively. Then they would just need to fill 3B during FA. That need may not be for too long though, as Trey Micalczewski has started to show real promise at the hot corner both defensively and offensively. Just turned 20 and not a Carlos Correa type prospect, so still needs a couple more years of seasoning.
That being said, nothing the White Sox do this off season matters much if Reinsdorf refuses to put loyalty aside jettison Robin Ventura!
