#8220 RE: TAJS20 #8219

MP is the 4th largest roaster in North America behind Folgers, Maxwell House and Starbucks. That still puts them ahead of a lot of other brands that are very well known and sell very well. $600 million is very believable. Based on what we know, even if you don't believe $600 million you'd have to believe at least $100 million, which would make JAMN about 10% of the business. Again, I'd have to say that it's a very small part of their business, though obviously they'd like it to be bigger.

As I stated earlier, if ECO CUPS were exclusively for Marley

Again, why does it make sense to limit the Eco cups to just JAMN? MP has their own brands and they have partnerships with a lot of other companies - doesn't it make more sense for them to put out Eco cups and take a bigger share of the recyclable K-cup market away from Keurig while they have a chance? Keurig is going to be out there in less than 5 years with a recyclable cup; for all we know they could do it in 6-12 months (seriously - how hard is it to switch a plastic to a recyclable type, which they really should have done in the first place). Come to think of it - the other brands do their own roasting and packaging - wouldn't it be Maxwell House and Starbucks doing their cups?

Anyway, the point is kind of moot - the Eco cups aren't exclusive to JAMN anyway.
