it can happen depends on finra..banks do that all the time, give out money by mistake and then ask it all back sometimes through court imo

if FINRA determines the divvys were illegal, then the money may have to be returned to the brokerages,as per the Fraud board,especially a possibility for anyone receiving a dividend from shares bought after June 30th I would think
