OK. Lets say that the CEO knows more then she is letting on. I think we can all agree on that. If I were a CEO and I new I had a multi-million dollar deal on the table. I would want to start lowering my stock prices by buying them back cheep. As the stock reaches that magic number, then make my announcement, through them back on the street at say 20 cents. Newbees would see the announcement, see the jump, then panic buy thinking they need to get in. then the new magic number is reached, then I real them back in.

If SMME balance date is 30 June, my understanding is that its next filing will be an annual 10K, not a (quarterly, for the first three quarters) 10Q. And if the lodgement date deadline for a 10K is 90 days post balance date, we will be waiting until the end of next month, even if it is lodged in time. If it is late, as it was last year, we might be waiting a further 15 days.
