Total volume is the total amount of trades, not individual shares that were sold. Shares are counted multiple times throughout the day in all stocks. Every time someone flips a stock, those shares are counted twice. Multiple people on this board admitted to flipping millions of shares on Friday. And that's just the ones that are here and actually admitted it. Then, obviously many jumped back out at the 50-100% mark to take their profits, then jumped back in at the pullback.
If you honestly think that the entire number of the float can't be traded in a day, then you obviously don't know how trading or the stock market works.

Oh, and I didn't even mention the probable manipulation by doing cross trades between accounts to keep the share price down by making it look like more people are selling to the bid to get out fast, when in reality it's just that they are selling to their own bid on a different account.

These are pretty common practices.
