before our good rockie will teach you, I will give you some seious answer about how this is handled in Austria:

First of all, I was really pissed of in the old days of WAMU that it wasn't possible for me in Austria to buy WAMPQ, all I got was WAMUQ's ... and after release a lot of beloved ESCROWS .... now I'm no more pissed of when I tell you about the taxable situation for ESCROWS in Austria:

If you bought your WAMUQ's before Jan,1st 2011 - then your capital gains tax is 0, zero, nada, nil, it doesn't matter, if you have 100 or 100m ESCROWS .... now you can easily understand why I'm no more pissed off, but I'm very, very happy with my boatload of beloved ESCROWS.
If you bought them after Jan,1st 2011 you have to pay 25% capital gains tax

By the way, Boris, I wanted tell you already a long time ago that I appreciate your sophisticated and well thought postings, I also love sarcasm .... sometimes .... though it seems to be hard to understand for some EDP's !!
