We gotta keep in mind, their approach has changed dramatically in the last couple of years.
Visser promised things he could not deliver on. Employees had to be on board but it all fell through.
Visser was charged with non performance. I think he was just a lying cad, knowing his cast parts
company could not perform.
Then Engel comes on board, and there was a long time to get a machine developed. Again, LQMT still didn't know which way to go to get things off the ground. The idea was to get companies to buy the ENGEL machine. Then the "low hanging fruit" was taken up. And to do some production in house.
Steipp was to concentrate on US potential, even though it was knowing in the manufacturing sector that EUROPEAN companies are more willing to try new technology.
RFQ"s pouring in, so they needed technical staff to handle those. Even the Knife must have taken
many hours of discussion, many design changes....then trying to apply the design to moulds and then
production.
Then the ENGEL symposium and then the announcement of the European Prototype contract which I'm going to assume that ENGEL is heading up no matter who said what. It would be ridiculous
to handle a EUROPEAN contract in the US, when ENGEL has the staff and facilities.
Many things are changing. Changing seemingly each week. And now another contract I guess in the
us...defined as Prototype and Parts. Some see that differently that I do. I see two different stages agreed upon...Prototype Stage and then Production.
Its taken a long time for all this to take place. We may find, (hopefully) that ENGEL is going to play a much bigger part. Perhaps manufacturing. Who would want to buy a machine and put it in house,
if the machines are continually being upgraded perhaps for larger and more complex items.
