#34931 RE: The Count #34925

Count sad to say but that is exactly why the entire market is down. Indeed nobody knows if ANY company will make their numbers including IDCC. The recent rally is based on hope, that the fed did the right thing, that demand will increase, that the economy will turn. Hope pure and simple.

While I have just started to post here I have owned and followed the stock for many years through all the ups and down. It is a unique time for the markets and IDCC that the cash is a sure to flow into IDCC as it is to any other company through their business model. The fog is thick for all companies. While I would have never thought that the entire market and economy would have sunk to the same level of expectation of IDCC getting paid, here we are. Nobody knows real numbers for any company any more.

Those who take the time to investigate and learn about IDCC can make there own best guess as to the expected revenue stream and invest accordingly.

Like recent analysts. They made their guess, a professional guess, a guess that carries weight. All analysts are guessing. The reason why they carry weight is because they are professional. Bill Daglish has done more work on IDCC than all four combined I guananteeee, very professional too but his work will never be reflected in a stock quote and accepted as a p/e ratio then converted to data in a stock screen.

I believe you have missed my point. Yahoo, MSN, CBS and the rest do not have a financial department. They receive their data from RELIABLE sources, professional resources. These professional resources are broadcasting bad data to other institution and individual investors alike. This bad data negates the recent good news of coverage and confusion reins. Confusion or lack of transparency is a bad thing. Now that we are gaining analyst coverage wouldn't be a good thing to have that coverage reported accurately?

Until there are signed agreements that include royalty rates there will not be clarity into earnings. Only when that occurs will IDCC be a candidate for investors who use screens to select stocks.
There are never clarity to earnings. That's what this whole stockmarket game is about. Analysts are the gurus who predict the future. Some use forward P/e some past, but what ever you use should be accurate. That info goes into screens with or without NOK's money. The analysts have spoken, the company has spoken, that info should be displayed accurately in the data. Once the data is correct I believe that it will be a good thing for the share price. I started posting and brought this point up because the people here are very dedicated, interested, and involved with the company. I brought this up with the company IR first. I am not complaining I am showing a course of action that could increase the value of our investment.
