Crossing the border using the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel is going to cost you a little more if you pay in Canadian currency.

The tolls went up this week by 25-cents.

Going from Windsor to Detroit it will cost $4.75...up from $4.50...which was approved by the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Corporation.

Nexpress tolls don't change.

CEO of the Windsor Detroit Tunnel Corporation, Carolyn Brown, says the hike is due to the lower value of the Canadian dollar.

The cost of crossing the border from Detroit to Windsor has also gone up in Canadian cash from $4.75 to $5.00.
