They can start by getting rid of the 18+ billion in debt. That is the biggest fear of all for a company. Their debt is outrageous. I would rather see the debt bought down by 5 billion than a share buyback that has no value to a shareholder. Share buybacks haven't ever really made a difference in stock price. All it does is make the revenue per share look better. Sorry but we are way past revenue looking better. It is outstanding so making it look good is useless. The last is we could be at the same price and they could give us a one time dividend of 5 bil and really make us feel appreciated. That would pay us back our losses for sure and the shares would still have the same value they have today.

Yes, stock buybacks imply the company has nowhere they think they can invest with a return equal or better than their current business.
