Indeed. It seems New Wave has spoken. Based on his past statements, he clearly provides a service of psychologically preparing Wavoids for impending but unannounced developments. He just cleared the way for a partial or full takeout of the company. I'm guessing a no-cash stock swap with another small player in a related space (albeit larger than Wave). In such a scenario Wavoids will end up with shares of another company. Also, in that case, hopes for wave would not be "wiped out" but would be replaced with analogous champagne wishes/caviar dreams of success of the acquiring company. Exciting times!
