Read the author's comment at the bottom of the interview article:
"Author’s reply » Thanks, like I told a poster on YMB who thought the patent questions were rude: it sounded a little rude, but that's because it was an email interview. I sent all those patent questions at one go, and he kept saying there's no dispute, and then again another patent question.
I never edit interviews, so couldn't help it.
My article - to be out for the general public tomorrow - will make the issue clearer. Dr V. did refuse to sign, it seems - and for obvious reasons - but his signature isn't required per 35 U.S.C. § 262."
