I agree...trailing stops are much better than a stop loss.

Great point Drano,

I had a stock that I thought was a sure fire winner, Baker Bros., nice chart set-up I thought, good pipe line, etc, CHTP :here are the details, bought 200 shares @ 3.20 on 1/8/14, and immediately put in a "hard stop" at 2.26; or 29%, it was meant to be a starter position so relatively small. Just 2 days later on 1/10/14 the stock tanked to guess, yep, 2.26 - hit my stop to the fr'kn penny. Then a day or two later price was over 5.50, I tried to explain to a so called buddy and he thought I was so crazy he hung up on me. here's a link if anyone wants to see the chart (no longer available), just ignore Clay if he bothers you LOL. 2nd link gives the why "twist" to the charade.
