As long as Linda continues to wear these two hats (CEO AND CFO), there will be internal control weakness because there is that needed checks and balances from another person wearing that hat which is missing. It does not mean any wrong doing or anything illegal is being done and as a matter of fact there is nothing unethical about it either as some people are constantly preaching.
We first and foremost should not forget that fact that NWBO is Linda baby she has invested her money and most importantly her time in this company. I will say she is in this company up to her neck and drowning in it as a result she has the company best interest at heart. Remember she has more skin in the game than anybody even Woodford.
Secondly i will argue that NWBO took advantage of cognant this past couple of years not the other way around. Who in their right mind will work and be paid in a speculative biotech stocks, it does not matter how sweet the deal was knowing that speculative biotech fail trail 9 out of 10 times (phase 3) and get wiped out but Cognant did because of Linda Just look at both companies financials and look at how intertwine they are. If NWBO goes down so will Cognant at this time but it is becoming more and more clearer that NWBO will become financially stronger and wont need Cognant but doubt you can argue this point the other way around
Lastly i argue that Linda knows where her future is and where her bread and butter will be. The lady just doesnt want to make money, she want to make history, she want to help people, she want to help these cancer patient. Remember she has stated publicly that the company is not for sale ( I will take 10B NOW THOUGH)she want NWBO to be a power house in this new arena called immunotherapy and so far with the passing of each day it is becoming more and more clearer that statement might end up being a fact. Remember we know what the check points can do (15- 25% of the patient with most indications), we have an idea about cart T and we just had a glimpse of DCVAX DIRECT METHOD B for all solid tumors and i repeat for all solid tumors (SMILE)
Big Pharma is scared shitless and would love to kill this small company. Their best argument is personalised medicine is cumbersome and expensive, Linda counters that argument by saying i can make it easier and cheaper just watch me.
