>>After all, THEY CHOSE TO USE THEIR REAL NAME IN THE FIRST PLACE!

To me, that adds a lot more credibility to them, than someone posting BEHIND an alias.

Nothing to hide, right?

cool breeze. I agree with some things on both sides of that issue. IMO if someone is sanctioned by the sec, it's probably important to the stock boards, since we're talking about stocks. But as far as posting personal information just bcause one can, isn't right. so far most of the times that I have seen it done, the purpose wasn't for any good reason, but rather for the darker reasons. Just because someone's information is in some government data base, what purpose does it serve to repost it?
For example, two people have opposing views on an issue, suddenly one person posts the other's tax records. what is the reason for this other than to create problems for someone?
unless the person is making an issue about other people not paying taxes and you want to show where that person stands in "the tax world", what is accomplished by posting their records? saying that "well it's public property, since it's public records" TECNICALY may be correct, but look at it in the larger picture. The real reason that the person posts this info is not for any good reason, it's for bad reasons. harassment, embarassment, humilation, to encourage stalking. IMO the revelation of it all just for revelation's sake, is not an acceptable reason.
