The other issue which I have not addressed, but will now, is this.
Suppose you are on the way from your house to your sailboat, or to Home Depot. As you regularly carry this knife for its practicality or usefulness as a utility tool, what happens when you are stopped for speeding and the police see the clip from your pocket and ask you to surrender your weapon. Just by carrying this knife, are you liable for any charges of possession of an illegal or non-registered weapon.
Just curious. Anyone have experience with police and knives and what are the consequences?
