I would certainly agree if there was any alternative to invest, park and put the money anywhere besides the stock markets. Even below the pillow seems to be outdated for some good reasons.
The charade will go on beyond your puts which doesn't mean you aren't right. But it will cost you a lot to get there, and not only money.
