One of the most important "lessons" in reading all these fish oil/Omega-3 related studies is how important it is to get the correct minimum dose of the active ingrediant be it EPA or DHA. Why so many studies have been done using OTC fish oil at "recommended dosage" is futile. Also, with DS fish oil you really do not know what you're getting. Impurities could have a negative impact especially for those taking massive doses. For the FDA to choose not to understand this is either neglegence or criminal. Remember the meta-analysis studies that showed no benefit from fish oil. Those studies looked at DS fish oil. Then, you had MD's come out and tell people that fish oil is useless! I continue to stress the notion that education about EPA and dosage will be critical to Vascepa's future.
