well yeah the reason why the Mets are bad offensively is they have played the whole season practically without d'arnuad, and wright, and being without murph this month was another major problem. No team can lose 3 of their best hitters and get away with it in my opinion. Having said that did I mention how bad of a bust cuddeyer has been in my opinion. LOL.

How to turn $5.9 million into $29.8 million!

It’s Bobby Bonilla Day again.

July 1 was the agreed-upon payment date between the former All-Star and the Mets when they negotiated a buyout of the $5.9 million remaining on his contract. Rather than pay Bonilla outright, the Mets concocted a 25-year, interest-accruing payment plan, which will give Bonilla, now 52, $1,193,248.20 every July 1 from 2011 through 2035.

That means that the 52-year-old Bonilla is making more this year than phenoms like Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz and Jeurys Familia.
