I think NW's point may be a contributory factor. But there's a list of potential problems and we are not in a great position to judge between them. eg

Corporate Appearances (weak balance sheet)
Product Quality
Price
Supply Chain Blockage
Market Access Issues
Competition (eg incumbency and network issues)
Lack of Demand (which I use as a kind of basket of all the possible issues combined into a customer decision)

What we can do is look at outcomes and say, it ain't or it is happening.

So far, it ain't.

The unsafe harbour isn't as eloquent as the sales history.

A few methods we know don't work in predicting future outcomes are intimate studies of the product, the standards, the safe harbour, the CEO's confidence and linked news articles about computer security failures. The process of seeking to confirm the tc theory by these means is also a zero.
