One item to consider although both John and WeeZuhl make excellent points is that much of the equation speaks to the future; in other words pain patients will only have ADT's from their physician, and as such the largest number of patients will have the relief and not the motivation to get high. There will always be a percentage of patients with the propensity for addiction that will find a route to street drugs...but slowly over the years ADTs should help to diminish the dependence overall among right-minded people.
