Glad MACD is working for you. I'm virtually handcuffed by my firm's trading restrictions when it comes to using TA. Funny story for you. I've been warning people in my group that we were heading lower. From February on, I advised them to decrease their equity exposure. They pretty much ignored me as their funds rallied from March to early May. Then once they had a couple bad days in May, they liquidated most of their holdings. Now, both of them are sitting on double digit gains for year and have missed out on the 5-10% decline that would have occurred otherwise. In comparison, I'm sitting on a 5% gain. My point? The people you advise almost always achieve better results than you because people like us act early. I have no doubt that I'll open positions too early in the decline. Unfortunately that's a risk I have to take given that I am forced to execute at closing prices and have a host of holding restrictions.
