I don't believe in shorting of any kind as I prefer to use the law of supply and demand.
The very term "to short something" implies someone is getting screwed.
If the brokers can't keep an inventory and take a risk like every investor does then they don't need to be trading in that companies stock.
This would also help keep would be scams from ever being started, as no one would deal in the shares of these scam companies in the first place, but as it's set up now everyone makes money with little to no risk and the trusting investor in turn gets screwed.
