I love that IDCC is trading at these levels before we get the next 3G license - makes the jump to the next level that much easier. It may be months away, but I don't think it will be more than a year.

It shouldn't be more than 7 months away. IDCC has said they anticipate more 3G licenses this year.

OT Count, but part of the reasoning behind Mr. Merritt's pay raise as per the 8-K:

"The decision also took account of independently compiled data provided to the Compensation Committee indicating that Mr. Merritt's base salary was below industry peers."

My thoughts are that this is NOT a guy we want to lose.

IMO, in six more months as Interdigital continues at improving shareholder value along with its many additional successes in licensing, Mr. Merritt will be actively sought by other firms. Additionally, his team will be the target of headhunters as well. Before we complain too loudly about compensation, let's not forget about market realities - good companies' personnel become targets.

Let's keep this team together - it's working well for the shareholders.
