#30363 RE: Cowboy200009 #30362

I don't know. A few things, first it doesn't sound like the guy has a good case for suing. It seems his part was an introduction to Stan Lee as part of a similar, but, different project. Second, Stan Lee and POW! were part of SLG Entertainment. We should have seen something (SEC filing) if a lawsuit were moving forward.

About SLG Entertainment, LLC

Formed in 2008, SLG Entertainment, LLC is a company whose vision is to merge the worlds of entertainment and sports by creating, developing and exploiting original superhero content derived from the intellectual property owned or controlled by professional and amateur sports organizations. Its owners include Stan Lee and POW! Entertainment, award-winning producer Adam Baratta, Aldo LaPietra, Mark Terry, co-creators Tony Chargin and Jake Shapiro, and Academy Award nominated producer and former owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Howard Baldwin.

And, a third thing, it should have gone to trial two to three years ago, unless one or both parties are stalling.

My only point about the NHL or NBC Universal settling the lawsuit is, either one could have offered go-away money, if they thought The Guardian Project was worth it.

I'd be happy if the project isn't dead, but I'm not counting on it any more. I consider it like all the other Stan Lee projects we never hear about anymore (Ringo animated movie/series, Hef's Superbunnies, Foreverman, etc...).
