I don't know. A few things, first it doesn't sound like the guy has a good case for suing. It seems his part was an introduction to Stan Lee as part of a similar, but, different project. Second, Stan Lee and POW! were part of SLG Entertainment. We should have seen something (SEC filing) if a lawsuit were moving forward.
And, a third thing, it should have gone to trial two to three years ago, unless one or both parties are stalling.
My only point about the NHL or NBC Universal settling the lawsuit is, either one could have offered go-away money, if they thought The Guardian Project was worth it.
I'd be happy if the project isn't dead, but I'm not counting on it any more. I consider it like all the other Stan Lee projects we never hear about anymore (Ringo animated movie/series, Hef's Superbunnies, Foreverman, etc...).
