I think it's because Kevetrin also works with wild-type p53, which is dominant in both AML at UoB and the renal cancer types targeted at BI.

In almost all AML cases, the p53 gene is working. But the p53 proteins are always blocked by another protein, MDM2. Kevetrin targets the p53-MDM2 pathway in tumor suppression.

Clearly a ton. But a compromised p53 pathway doesnt necessarily start with a mutated p53 protein; over-expressed MDM2 would bollocks things up too. And Kevetrin addresses that it seems by stabilizing wild-type (the nonmutated p53)
