Larry Orecklin is the Vice President of Microsoft’s Developer Experience & Evangelism Group (DX) in the US, and an executive member of the North American Leadership team. DX is responsible for Microsoft’s relationship with software developers and the application ecosystem. Larry and his team work with customers, partners, startups and developers throughout the United States, to build the next generation of consumer and business applications for all businesses, running in the cloud or on premise.

Prior to DX, Larry held entrepreneurial roles in both startup and corporate entities.Most recently at Microsoft, he was Vice President of Worldwide Specialist Sales at Microsoft, operationalizing a global team focused on incubating all of Microsoft’s new products and businesses, driving competitive sales, and spearheading Microsoft’s specialist and technical selling communities.

Larry joined Microsoft as General Manager of the rapidly growing System Center and Virtualization Business Group, responsible for product planning, marketing, and delivery of Virtualization solutions and private cloud management solutions. Prior to Microsoft, Larry held a number of senior roles in startup and medium sized businesses, including: CEO of Hire.com, an HR application SaaS provider; President of Quantum Corp’s Storage Solutions Division, a $350M storage systems and software business; Senior Vice President of Tivoli Systems as it was acquired and integrated into IBM; and Vice President of marketing in Oracle’s Industries business.

He has an MBA from Wharton, and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from UC Berkeley. Outside of work, Larry and his son are avid skiers, sailors, and global travelers,

Oh come now macnqueso. You are not really trying to imply that a Microsoft Vice President with an MBA from Wharton might actually know more than Keubiko?

That's ridiculous.
