I agree, most certainly GT will develop a systematic way to crate these ASF units in order to streamline the process and keep costs down. I believe they even have a target price in mind attached to their Incentive Plan.
In terms of the temp agencies, I believe that point is moot. 1. People need jobs and will work. 2. Temp agencies want business and will continue to work with GT because they can be paid on post BK invoices. 3. There are plenty of temp agencies happy to take GT's money even if a former agency turns GT down, which again I think is doubtful. I think the only thing that would be different post BK is the net days for payment of invoices.
Also, GT really does not need employees or temp agencies, they can just contract out the crating services like for example they do in HK with Kerry Logistics. Do you agree that this is they most likely scenario? Ie:have a few GT point persons overseeing a logistics company that provides a service at a negotiated contract rate? I do know they are doing this with the excess equipment they are selling from Mesa.
In terms of the competition to buy the ASF's, my guess is that there would be small interest from the LED OEMs like you said. However, Apple and other large electronics companies are offering sapphire displays in various sizes. Public interest in this material appears to be on the rise from what I have read at the moment. Do you think there is enough capacity currently in that market to meet demand? In my opinion, no. So, I believe these systems will create competition because most businesses want a deal, most businesses would be excited to get a year old system at a deal rather than paying premium for new. I think producers are feeling out the market for sapphire in all it's uses and are making capex decisions. I mean these things are not toasters that you put on a shelf and plug in. These companies need the floor space, utility capacities and the funds to make this happen and that all takes time and risk. In my opinion, there will be more than one company willing to take that risk and they might be watching each other to see who is going to blink first.
I agree that dissenting opinions are good for discussion. As long as they are implied as such and based on something besides fantasy, manipulation and ignorance, which unfortunately seems to happen in this place more than than many would like to see.
