Thanks for the input. While I do have an idea of the markets Hotzone will apply to, I'm still trying to get who the real "end users" will be.
I guess what I really want to know is this:
If I, as a retail consumer, want to access the internet on my laptop, while on a driving trip from home to work or say from one metro area to another like you could with the pcmcia, or a cell phone, does anything GTE offers do that for me? To me the greatest asset of wireless is just that....mobility. That's what I envisioned the stratellite would enable.
Wireless cellphone companies are offering broadband access not only on phones but through the pcmcia cards on your laptop as well. I did not think that application of the card was old technology but I may be wrong.
multi- yes wifi is built into MB's but aren't you limited to being within range of a wifi network? With Wimax the coverage area is expanded I know but still limited to a specific radius?
