A lot of people only want to connect with their friends. And phones and pads are fairly inexpensive ways to do that, especially in the developed world. For those of us who do work we need better processing and better means of input. To me it is the difference between Beanie Babies and robots.
You have to use spreadsheets if you go to college and a pretty decent percentage of the population goes to college or has been to college. I'd guess that just about any kind of office work would involve using a spreadsheet, at least a few times a year.
I have barely computer literate friends who use Excel to do up family budgets, keep track of investments for tax returns etc.
To say only 1 in 1000 people are using spreadsheets, just goes to show how unhinged he has become, as his Anyone But Intel mindset has taken over his life.
