I don't know if Dan Brown would fall under 1 John 4:1-3 regarding false prophets. He's no more a false prophet than Christian or Catholic parents that dress up their children as witches and devils, or as anything for that fact for Halloween. Satan disguises himself in such beautiful and fun things ... you are correct.
