Totally different - as I said they use machine vision and your quote proves it. GeckoNav(tm) - now branded as SavePath(tm) is software that can use any sensor and any locomotion system. They can use laser depth cameras - NASA system can't. GOSY uses sensor fusion so can achieve true 360 degree awarenesss.

Thanks for digging up that quote that shows that NASA system is nothing like GOSY's as I originally said.

Your statement "I haven't a doubt NASA already has the tech" is an assumption. Mine is based on DD. The geckosystems.com has lots of info on how their software works.

GeckoNav actually slows down when a moving obstacle (the rover is worried about moving obstacles) is within range so it can come to a smooth stop if necessary. This is an absolute necessity for the auto. You can see it in the videos on the site.

This does show NASA had the capabilities GOSY has. How different are they? I don't know frankly. Like I said, Nissan could be looking for something that suits their eco-sys better than NASA, but I haven't a doubt NASA already has the tech, & Nissan has publicly announced their continual partnership with NASA.

Both of them, imo, should be imprisoned since they have stolen millions of dollars from GOSY shareholders.
